This page covers the InsulEngine website (insulengine.com) and the InsulEngine product (insulengine.com/app).
Your drawings, bids and prices
Drawings, specifications, takeoffs, estimates and cost books you put into the product belong to your company. They are visible to your company and the people you invite, and are never shared with or shown to other customers. We use them to provide the service, including automated reading and checking of your takeoffs. InsulEngine staff open a project only through a support session with a stated reason, which is recorded.
What we collect on this website
- Forms you send us. The trial signup and demo request forms send what you type: name, email, company, and optionally phone and a message. We use it to set up your account or to contact you about a demo.
- How you found us. If you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, the campaign details in the link (for example utm_source, utm_campaign and Google's click id, gclid) are kept in your browser and sent with a form you submit, so we can tell which ads lead to signups.
- Advertising measurement. When we run Google Ads, the public pages of this website (not the product) load Google's tag, which sets cookies Google uses to measure ad clicks and conversions. Google's use of that data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
Besides account email (confirming your address, password resets, invitations), a trial gets a few reminders: to confirm the address, to run a first job, and when a finished job has not been opened. Each sequence stops when the step is done or after its last reminder. Every reminder has a one-click link to stop them for good, and so does your mail app's unsubscribe button.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information.
- We don't put advertising or analytics scripts inside the product.
- We don't use your drawings, bids or prices to advertise.
- We don't use your drawings, specifications or prices to train AI models, and the AI providers that process them for us don't either (see the Terms of Service, Section 5).
